Goodell Gardens & Homestead is being developed according to the Master Plan prepared by Marshall-Tyler-Rausch, LLC in Pittsburgh. A display of a more detailed Master Plan map, along with a history exhibit about the farm and family can be found in the Vistor's Center at Goodell Gardens & Homestead.
The current display gardens open to the public include the one-acre Goodell Heritage Garden, featuring unique, native and non-native perennial and tree species, as well as the Pollinator Garden. A 5-acre Events Lawn (showcasing our reconstructed, early 1800s barn) and surrounding Full-Sun Garden (which is currently being developed) are the most recent developments at Goodell Gardens. Future developments at the gardens will include Teaching, Family, Formal, Japanese and Overlook gardens. In addition, the plans call for a Bulb Meadow and Lilac Hill.
